After the stupendous success of the earlier three editions, which saw participation from the crème de la crème of service providers, entrepreneurs & professionals, shippers & consignees, besides policymakers and regulators, Exim India Shipping Times is back with the South East Air Cargo Conclave and Awards 2023 (SEAC 2023), the 4th Edition, scheduled for Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at Hotel Trident, Chennai.
India is today one of the world’s fastest growing and intensely competitive air cargo markets, with increasing volumes and a rising fleet. Both domestic and international players are ramping up their operations and equipment, in belly-hold as well as the dedicated freighter segment, to cater to the burgeoning demand. Given the rapid increase in e-commerce, express and general freight traffic, the government has set an ambitious target of taking air cargo volumes from the current over 3 million tonnes to 10 million tonnes by 2030.
In South India, the event’s area of focus, key hubs like the Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore airports are attaining new highs in cargo handling, facilitated by enhanced infrastructure, especially for perishables and pharma, improved global connections, and especially international carriers boosting their services.
The economic and trade growth projections for India also portend an optimistic outlook ahead for air cargo.

Given this context, the multiple aspects of the overall air cargo scenario will be discussed in detail at the Air Cargo Conclave by top decision-makers from the Air Freight, Airlines, Airport and Express industries, besides policy formulators and regulatory authorities. New paths and innovative strategies will be explored to give a further fillip to air freight.
